T.V. Host Says Goodbye

Julie Chen officially is leaving The Talk.  Less than 24 hours after news broke of her plans to exit the daytime talk show, the longtime co-host tearfully confirmed the news yesterday in a pre-taped video message to viewers.

" I have been at The Talk since the day it started nine years ago and the cast and crew as well as the staff have all become family to me over the years, but right now I need to spend more time at home with my husband and our young son, so I have decided to leave The Talk".

Chen says she will continue to host Big Brother, saying that those hours are much easier to manage.

This all comes after her husband and former head of  CBS Les Moonves resigned  after he was faced with sexual harassment charges from at least six women.

One source says that she decided to leave the show to focus on family.
