If there's one place I love, it's Sweetie-licious Bakery Cafe in Dewitt. This is a Dewitt based business known for its nationally award winning pies.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the Grand Rapids location will close their doors at the end of February. Business at the bakery's Grand Rapids location was healthy before COVID-19, but it declined very quickly during the pandemic.

Linda Hundt, who is the owner of Sweetie-licious Bakery has been in the studio with Monica and I several times, promoting her award winning pies and all of the other goodies they put together on a daily basis. Linda does a great job.

The bakery's second location at Down Town Market in Grand Rapids opened back in 2013. The decision to close their doors was nothing short of bittersweet.

Linda Hundt said we leave being immensely proud and thankful of so much, especially our dedicated and talented team, our sweet and beloved customers, and the worthy charity work that we have been privileged to be a part of. (LSJ)

There have been so many businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. When you close down your business due to state protocols, you're essentially losing thousands of dollars in revenue. And that really hurts your business.

On a happy note, Linda Hundt has no plans to close the bakery's Dewitt location. People have really shown up there and have been super supportive. (LSJ)

Sweetie-licious Bakery is planning themed promotions this winter at the business. The bakery will highlight the details of each one on its Facebook and Instagram accounts.
