Summer will be here, eventually, and that means lots of seasonal jobs will need to be filled. Many of those job openings are at some pretty cool places.

Just think back to your summer vacation and how your parents were all over you to get a job. How amazing would it have been to work on Mackinac Island?

You can learn about some of the seasonal jobs on Mackinac Island here.

I did some looking and there are some pretty cool jobs to be had on Michigan's favorite island. The Ferry companys, Shepler's and Star Line, are always hiring seasonal employees and on the island there many other employment options. Every bar and restaurant is hiring, hotels need workers, shops need sales associates and if you like horses the island has a lot of them. You could be a delivery driver, or drive a horse-drawn carriage, or you could always work at Mackinac Island's golf course. How great would it be to work at Michigan's oldest golf course that is built on a historic battleground?

Many of the employers on the island also make housing available to their employees in a dorm like setting.

If you don't want to go all the way to Mackinac, remember that nothing screams SUMMER like baseball.  If you are a fan, the Detroit Tigers are once again hiring workers to fill positions with the team. Positions in promotions, sales, security, groundskeeper, scoreboard assistant and even a position on the "tarp crew" need to be filled.

Michigan's Adventure, on the west side of the state, is hiring. They are looking to fill positions all over the park. They need lifeguards, guest services workers, maintenance, food service workers, landscapers and even employees to dress in character costumes.

The company that owns Michigan's Adventure also owns Cedar Point. The Sandusky, Ohio amusement park is also looking to fill some 6 thousand jobs this summer.
