It's time to pick your own strawberries. Those sweet little gems of summer are finally here, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Pick your own strawberries in and near southeast Michigan are ripe for harvest. Most of the farms are reporting that they officially opened on Friday, the first day of summer.
The weather for picking conditions for the next several days looks promising. Strawberries are late this year due to the cool weather.
