Saturday's snowfall more than doubled a nearly 90 year Lansing record, according to the National Weather Service.  The 8.2 inches of snow in the city bested a 1928 record of 3.5 inches for Nov. 21.

Major roadways have been cleared in the Lansing area, leaving some subdivision and secondary roads left to be plowed and salted.

A warm up is expected to begin Tuesday, with a high of 50 to 60 degrees on Thanksgiving.  A 50 percent chance of rain is expected on Thanksgiving Day.
