Smiley Face is Top Winner

The happy winner is Smiley Face.  The yellow Smiley Face water tower has been a symbol for drivers on I-75 since 1974.

Smiley Face has taken top spot on the #Drive75 reader rankings of the top underrated sights on I-75 from Detroit to Sault Ste. Marie.

What's fabulous about visiting the Smiley Face Tower is that it is only 2 miles off the highway, and then you can jump right back on the highway by doing a quick loop through West Branch.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the Top 3 Underrated Attractions on I-75 between Detroit and the soo are:  Smiley Face water tower, West Branch followed by Straits State Park bridge overlook, St. Ignace and at number 3:  Castle Rock lookout point in St. Ignace.
