Isn't it great that we don't have any snow on the ground here in Michigan. The weather has been so mild lately.

This isn't the kind of January weather that Michiganders normally see during this time of season. We usually have very cold temperatures and a few inches of snow on the ground by now.

So what is the world is going on with our bizarre January weather? Here's the latest from mlive.com:

The much-warmer-than-normal air blowing in here Sunday and lasting to at least Tuesday will bring afternoon temperatures into the mid-to-upper 40s, and even some 50-degree readings. Again, this isn’t super strange for one day in January in Michigan. It is quite bizarre for a solid three or four days in a row. Even after the peak warmest day Tuesday, we will likely stay warmer than normal for an additional week or more.

I love this crazy Michigan weather right now. I haven't even been wearing my winter coat because our Michigan weather is so mild.

It's rare that you ever see temps in the upper 40's in January, and even more rare when temps hit 50 degrees. So I say take advantage of it when you can. Go outside and take a walk, go for a bike ride, or just do what ever makes you happy.

It won't be long before we get one of those winter weather warnings again and receive several inches of snow here in lower Michigan.

I like the fact that I can go outside and either sit on my deck or just walk around not dealing with any of that slushy wet stuff, at least for the time being.

Enjoy the warmer January temperatures and don't waste any time taking advantage of our January Thaw.
