Senator Bernie Sanders said disastrous trade policies such as the North American Free Trade Agreement and the TransPacific Partnership are major reasons why American jobs are being shipped overseas.

Sanders also said he opposed NAFTA while his opponent, former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, supported it along with permanent normal trade relations with China and Vietnam.

Sanders said we've lost 60,000 factories since 2001, almost all of them are because of trade agreements.  He also said trade agreements need to be beneficial for both parties.  Currently, U.S. trade policy is being pushed by corporate America.  The Lansing State Journal has the latest.
