Royal Scot bowling alley intends to fill a comedic void that its manager says has existed for several years.

There hasn't been many comedy shows in Lansing since Connxtions Comedy Club closed its doors in 2014 after 30 years of business.

Royal Scot, 4722 W. Grand River Ave., intends to host at least one comedy show a month inside its 400 seat banquet center.

The plan for Royal Scot is to keep ticket prices for most shows within the $25 to $35 range and offer food and beverages during the performances.

Back Alley Comedy club owner Don Veltman said the business model has drawn interest from several comedians because there are opportunities for them to perform at multiple Michigan venues in a week.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
