Oscoda Vacation was a Blast

Just got back from vacation in beautiful Oscoda, Michigan.  We stayed at a place called Surfside in Oscoda for several days.

We all walked on the sandy beach and even walked out on the pier which oversees Lake Huron.  Lori and I didn't do any swimming, but the kids braved the cold water and dove right in.  We're sure the water temperature was in the 60's.

On day two of our vacation, we all went canoeing down the Ausable River in Oscoda.  It was a two hour canoe ride that seemed like ten hours.  At one point we parked the canoes and the kids did a little swimming in the river.

We swam, went canoeing, played putt putt, played volleyball and even had time to see a movie at the local theater in Oscoda.

Overall we had a great time in Oscoda and look forward to more vacation time there in the future.
