When it comes right down to it, Obesity is not a good thing. Obesity is a condition in which too much body fat has accumulated to such an extent that it may have a negative effect on health.

Even though my weight is above 200 pounds, my very own family doctor informed me not too long ago that I was considered slightly obese. Isn't that crazy?

That means I have too much body fat that I have accumulated over the years and I should try and do something bout it. And that means proper diet, exercise, and everything else in between.

Here's what mlive.com has to say:

As of 2020, Michigan ranked 35th based on its percentage of adults with a body mass index of 30 or higher, based on reported height and weight, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Michigan’s obesity rate of 35.2% surpassed the national average of 32.2%.

It's all about making healthy lifestyle changes, which isn't easy, but can be done if you have the will power to get started.

My current weight is around 205 pounds. My doctor said that my perfect weight should be around 175-178 pounds. That was my weight back in my high school days for crying out loud!

Michigan is ranked 35th in adult obesity and that means that Michiganders need to start working on better health choices and exercise more.

Mlive.com adds:

Obesity and high body fat are known to correlate with diseases and health conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, liver disease, osteoarthritis, stroke and certain cancers.

Losing weight is not the easiest thing to do by any means. I would be happy just to lose 5 or10 pounds just to feel good about myself.

My suggestion is that you should see a doctor and have him or her lead you in the right direction for a more healthier you in the near future.  Good luck!
