No Good Deed Pushes Guardians Out of Top Spot

No Good Deed took the number 1 spot at the box office over the weekend.  Diving into the second spot with $16.6 million was the family friendly Dolphin Tale 2.

The thriller "No Good Deed" starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson pushed ahead of the summer's reigning box office champion, Guardians of the Galaxy, with $24.5 million in its opening weekend.

The story about a charming stranger terrorizing a housewife was traumatic for critics, scoring a paltry 12% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.com.  But audiences responded more favorably:  71% gave it a thumbs up.
