National Weather Service Issues Urgent Snow Warning For Lansing Area
Winter isn't over just yet.
Snow is coming back and in a big way. The National Weather Service forecasts up to about a half-foot of the white stuff to fall across the Lansing area between Sunday night and Tuesday morning.
Meteorologist have issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 12 a.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday for much of mid- and western Michigan, including Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties.
The NWS forecasts a heavy dose of snow during the early morning hours Monday, which will make the morning commute to start the work week hazardous. Snow is forecast to continue into early Tuesday.
In all, forecasters are predicting three to five inches of snow for the Lansing area between late Sunday night and Tuesday morning.
