Home makeover shows are a hot commodity. The majority of shows on HGTV are fix-ups; however, things have now taken a turn to the bizarre.

This year (and I am very excited for this) we will be able to watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition reboot. But the show that I'm most interested in watching is a little darker. The homes featured in a new show on HGTV are a bit on the dark side. They are calling the show 'Murder House Flip.'

The show is the brainchild of several people, and they say that it brings together two of America's biggest obsessions...true crime and home renovation. Honestly, they aren't wrong. Those two topics on their own are extremely entertaining, so I'm excited to see how they work together.

This show will be out in April of this year and will include a cast of forensic specialists, spiritual healers and high-end renovation experts. They will uncover crimes and share shocking secrets and the scandalous history of these homes. They plan to bring "healing and solace" to families living in the aftermath of tragic events in their homes and transform dark places into healthy spaces.

With the abundance of "haunted" homes in Michigan with dark histories, I'm hoping they'll visit our state at some point.
