Motor City Car Crawl Set For August
Attention car enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for four days of cars and entertainment.
The Motor City Car Crawl is set for this August and will showcase cars, trucks and SUVs. Not only will you be able to check out your favorite vehicles, but you'll also be able to enjoy food and entertainment.
MC3 will run Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8. All days except Saturday, August 7 are free. Saturday will be a ticketed fundraiser, which will benefit eight different children's charities.
Rod Alberts, executive director of Detroit Auto Dealers Association told the Detroit Free Press that they're looking forward to the event and thinks it will be good for the community.
It has been some time since we’ve been able to have an event like this and we believe that the Motor City Car Crawl will benefit both the local charities and local businesses as well.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the vehicles, food trucks, and entertainment will be located in these parks in downtown Detroit.
- Beacon Park
- Cadillac Square
- Grand Circus Park
- Capitol Park
- Campus Martius
- Spirit Plaza
Eric Lawson, CEO of Downtown Detroit Partnership told the Detroit Free Press that he hopes the MC3 will give people something to look forward to by being able to socialize outdoors safely. North American International Auto Show’s chairman, Doug North, says if the event is successful, there is a possibility that DADA will make it an annual thing.
Details regarding the event have yet to be announced including ticket information.
