Miley Cyrus Shares Hospital Selfie After Wrist Procedure [PHOTO]
On Friday, Dec. 12, the 22-year-old 'Wrecking Ball' singer posted a graphic photo on her Instagram feed of her wrist being opened up by doctors for a procedure. Cyrus drew a smiley face over what appeared to be a ganglion cyst that doctors were removing from inside her wrist. Ganglion cysts, according to Wikipedia, are caused by a result of leakage of fluid around body joints. They are not serious and are easily removed via surgery.
Cyrus also posted a hospital selfie with the caption: "The gown is sooooo hipster" while looking somewhat grumpy at the mirror.
While spending the days before Christmas inside a hospital can feel defeating, Smilers everywhere sent in their own fan submissions about what else could have been growing inside Cyrus' wrist, including her deceased dog Floyd and the legendary Elvis Presley.
