Hold onto your chopsticks, because sushi lovers may feel a little raw when they learn that Michigan's top seller of their favorite main course, isn't a fine dining establishment. In fact, it isn't even a restaurant!

It turns out the Mitten's sushi powerhouse is a grocery store chain based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. That's right, our neighbor to the south is not only Michigan's number one seller, but this grocery store chain sells more sushi than anyone else in the country!

In a plot twist worthy that would make Hollywood screenwriters jealous, the title of most rolls sold in Michigan goes to none other than Kroger. Yes, Kroger. The same place that offers mylar balloons, seasonal yard decorations, and bread is also the go-to spot for Dragon Rolls.

Not sure about you but, I would have never guessed that Kroger had mastered the art of sushi. They've managed to capture the hearts, or should we say taste buds, of Michiganders with their fresh and surprisingly legit sushi. Is it at the same level as a Michelin-starred restaurant? Nope, but it's still tasty.

I get the hesitation. Buying your sushi from anywhere other than a restaurant seems sketchy but, it's not like it's a gas station.
