Through the whole COVID-19 pandemic, you have to admit one thing. There has been no long lines and wait times at the State of Michigan Secretary of State branch offices.

Yeah, I know...they haven't been open, that's why. I guess a failed attempt at humor here. But here's something cool to look forward to though. Secretary of State branch offices in Michigan are set to reopen on June 1, but it's by appointment only.

According to a press release issued by the Secretary of State, what you will be able to do at these reopened locations are what are considered essential transactions that are not available online and Jocelyn Benson, Michigan Secretary of State says that you can be confident that your visit to the branch offices will be safe and efficient.

By the way, this isn't just a few of the branch offices, it will be all of them which is a total of 131 locations. Hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for your appointment only transactions. There will be a greeter to let you in at your branch location as the doors will still be locked. You will be admitted at your appointed time.

Now, there are a lot of things to know before you venture out to your Secretary of State branch, and you can find out all about what you need to know here.

By the way on a side note, those self-service kiosks inside the Secretary of State branches where you can renew your tags and stuff? Well they might be one of the greatest inventions ever...
