Kent County Tops Michigan 83 County Ranking For Car Deer Crashes
Michigan deer are notorious for crossing the road at the most inconvenient times. You would think that after years of seeing their kin destroyed by fast-moving lights, Bambi's mom would start educating her fawns on the dangers associated with stepping onto paved surfaces.

Michigan is 1 of 4 States You're Most Likely to Hit an Animal In the US
You read that right. There are other states where you are more likely to hit an animal than our fair state of Michigan. According to Stacker and State Farm, the Mitten ranks #4 in the United States with a 1 in 51 chance of hitting an animal.
Coming in at #3 was South Dakota also at 1 in 51, followed by Montana with a 1 in 44 chance of hitting an animal. Not sure if you've been through either state, but there are a lot of buffalo there. If you think hitting a deer is bad, imagine what one of those would do to your Civic.
The dubious honor of most fur on the grill goes to none other than West Virginia. It seems that while traveling through this state you'll have a 1 in 35 chance of running into some type of creature who was never taught to look both ways before crossing the road.
