Many Adults Regret Life Choices
It is pretty much human nature to look back at the road not taken and wonder..what if...
A new survey conducted in England found out that four out of ten people regret how they have lived their lives so far. Spending too much time at work and not traveling enough were among the biggest regrets found during the survey.
Other common regrets among those surveyed included neglecting their health and not spending enough time with their family. Many wished that they had been a better parent and were their for all their children's events like games and school events. That is my personal regret: putting work obligations before my children at times. Telling yourself you are making a better life for your children, and after years of that, the company you work for pulls the rug out from under your feet. Lesson learned, family should always come first.
For those who took the survey, many claimed that they want to make a positive change in the near future. They believe all hope is not lost and it is not to late to change paths and accomplish more in life. Three out of four adults claim that their regret is mainly caused by things they wanted to do but never got around to.
Our take away from this is that there is still time to change your life path and become the person you want to be.
