Lansing’s City Hall Project Put on Hold

Plans to move Lansing city hall and turn the current location into a hotel are on hold indefinitely.  Mayor Andy Schor made the announcement Tuesday.

He says the city needs to know where 54-A District Court and the Lansing Police lockup will go before making any changes.

Mayor Schor did not set a date for choosing a spot for the court or the lockup.  He does want to look into the possibility of merging the city lockup with Ingham county's lockup.  Here's more from WILX-TV 10.
