Gas prices in Michigan are up 4 cents compared to a week ago, according to WILX-News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority.

Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $2.52 per gallon for regular unleaded, which is down 1 cent after setting a new 2019 high of $2.53 per gallon on March 8.

As the nation exits the winter driving season, motorists should expect pump prices to continue to rise as demand increases and stocks of gasoline tighten.

Lansing gas prices have risen 3.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.49 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 177 stations.

Gas prices in Lansing are 23.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, yet stand 8.0 per gallon lower than a year ago.  For the most and least expensive gas price averages, please click on the above link.
