Kroger to Reduce Maximum Number of Customers
This is happening across the entire country these days since the coronavirus has spread across the United States.
Many grocery stores are now limiting the maximum number of customers allowed in the store at any given time.
Kroger is the latest grocery chain to reduce the maximum number of customers. The company will reduce its maximum customer capacity in each of its stores by 50% starting today so better social distancing practices can take place.
According to WILX, the Kroger senior vice president of operations said that during this national pandemic, we are committed to adopting preventive measures to help protect the safety and health of our associates, customers and communities.
My wife Lori and I shop at the Okemos Kroger store just about every Sunday where we purchase all of our groceries. It's a very clean and well organized store at that.
By the way, Kroger has existing technology at its stores that calculates the number of customers in real time.
Kroger has also installed plexiglass partitions to protect employees.
