Meat Products Recalled Because of Allergic Reaction Concerns
Just weeks after a major recall of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products, another recall has been issued for thousands of pounds of meat products due to concerns about allergic reactions.
A Tu Gusto LLC has recalled about 7,630 pounds of frozen meat and poultry croquette products over concerns that they may contain soy, sesame seed, and wheat.
What Are the Product Details?
The frozen meat and poultry products were produced between April and October 2024. The items listed have a shelf life of about six months, regardless of the expiration dates listed on the packaging.
- 32-oz. box containing “A TU GUSTO PALADAR POLLO (CHICKEN) CROQUETAS (CROQUETTES).”
- 32-oz. box containing “A TU GUSTO PALADAR CHORIZO (SAUSAGE) CROQUETAS (CROQUETTES).”
- 32-oz. box containing “A TU GUSTO PALADAR PESCADO (FISH) CROQUETAS (CROQUETTES).”
- 32-oz. box containing “A TU GUSTO PALADAR JAMON (HAM) CROQUETAS (CROQUETTES).”
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service says there have been no confirmed reports of sickness related to consuming these products, but consumers are urged to discard them immediately.
Massive Meat Recall Extended to Include Products Sold at Michigan Supermarkets
Earlier this month, a massive recall was extended to include nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products that are sold at Kroger, Walmart, Meijer, Target,Trader Joe's, Aldi GFS and other retailers throughout Michigan and the US.
Those meat products were traced to BrucePac, a meat producer based in Oklahoma.
Major brands with recalled products include (but are not limited to) Taylor Farms, Kroger Brand, Meijer Brand, Jenny Craig, Boston Market, and Fresh Express.
