Is Popular Jollibee Really Going to Open in Michigan?

We first reported Jollibee's first Michigan location, would be opening in 2023, back in June.

Two tentative opening dates have come and gone. The latest was for November 2023.

Is Jollibee still opening in Michigan?

Despite another delay, Crain's Detroit Business is reporting the restaurant is now slated to open in 2024.

Specifically, in winter.

There's no reason given for the delay, but fans continue to wait patiently.

Where is the new Jollibee located?

The new location replaces Denny's formerly located on Hall Road at 44945 Woodridge Drive, Sterling Heights.

It's situated in front of Lakeside Mall, which is going away soon. There's a Chipotle directly across the parking lot from the new location.

What's on the Jollibee menu?

They're best known for all things chicken. In addition, they offer other traditional Filipino-inspired dishes, too.

Jolly Spaghetti: sweet-style sauce, chunky slices of ham, ground meat and hotdog.
Palabok Fiesta: a traditional Filipino noodle meal served in garlic sauce with sauteed pork, shrimp and egg. The sauce contains the pork and shrimp and can't be removed according to the website.
Burger Steaks: a couple "savory sweet" beef patties with mushroom gravy sauce and a side of rice.
Desserts: Pineapple Quencher, Coconut Pineapple Pie or the famous Peach Mango Pie.

For now, we wait a while longer for "Chicken Joy."
