This may change your mind about not answering calls from unknown numbers. A Michigan man recently ignored a call from an unknown number, as it turns out - it was the Michigan Lottery calling to inform him of a $100,000 win.

According to FOX 5 New York, the Washtenaw County man avoided the call and did not think much about it until he checked his email later that night. The unidentified man received an email from the Michigan Lottery informing him of his big win. That is when he remembered the call and checked his voicemail. Sure enough, the voicemail message was from the Michigan Lottery.

First of all, shout out to the Michigan Lottery for following up with an email. Can you imagine if he would have just deleted the voicemail without listening to it? How do you get over the fact that you lost out on $100K?

The 56-year-old winner who wishes to remain anonymous won the money in a random drawing after scanning a losing $300,000,000 Diamond Riches ticket into the Michigan Lottery app.
