Another New Restaurant is Headed to Lansing

I feel like we just talked about a new restaurant opening in Lansing the other day... Oh wait, that's because we did.

Well, we have another one to add to the ever growing list!

A New Restaurant is Coming to Lansing

Lansing has a new restaurant opening to be on the look out for.

We'll be welcoming La Cocina de Lulú to the Lansing food scene.

When will this new restaurant be opening? There's no word on that just yet. And the only internet mention of this new eatery that I could find was a post in the Lansing Chowhounds, which was just a picture of the outside of the building.

This new restaurant will be going in at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Shepard Street.

If the building looks familiar, it's because not too long ago, the former restaurant in that spot closed.

Lansing Restaurants That Closed in 2024

This location was the former home to El Catrin Taco Shop.

El Catrin opened in December 2023, and closed sometime late in 2024.

I'm excited to see, what appears to be, another locally owned restaurant coming to town. Plus, that section of Michigan Avenue could definitely see some new life breathed into it.

Keep in mind, El Catrin wasn't the first restaurant to close at that location.

In the last few years, that address has played home to Tannin, Tabooli, KFC
