Country Living recently took a look at haunted locations across America, and ranked the 27 Most Haunted Places in America. So basically, they made a to-visit list for those looking to get scared.

With how many haunted places can be found across the nation, it's actually really cool that a Michigan location made the top 27 list. Places like the Amityville Horror House in New York are on this list, so you've got to be spooky to be on the same list as that.

Michigan Spot Named One of the Most Haunted in America

The Michigan spot that makes the list of the most haunted in America is The Whitney Restaurant.

The Whitney is located in Detroit at 4421 Woodward Avenue and was built in 1894 by one of the richest people in Michigan at the time; David Whitney Jr.

Nowadays, The Whitney is famous for its upscale dining, and of course, the fact that its very haunted.

Word on the street is that The Whitney is haunted by Whitney or his wife. But, employees do say the spirits are friendly, so that's a plus.

If you'd like to enjoy The Whitney at its full spookiness, you can grab a drink at their Ghost Bar, or reserve a ticket for one of their Paranormal Dinners. However, you'll have to get on the waitlist because it's so popular that it's currently sold out through the end of 2024.
