Michiganders Moving to Florida are in for a Rude Awakening

At some point in your life, you've probably heard the phrase, "The grass is always greener on the other side", meaning of course something new or different looks good on the outside. But, you have no idea what it's like on the inside.

That's why I like the phrase, "The grass is greener where you water it." And I'm going to be watering my grass right here in Michigan, thank you very much.

But, there are some Michiganders who see that grass down in Florida, and they're taking the chance on the greenness and moving down there.

Snowbirds Aren't the Only Michiganders Flying South to Florida

And I'm not just talking about the snowbirds; the older generations who make their way south to Florida when Michigan has just the slightest chill in the air. Michiganders of all ages are moving to Florida for various reasons. Whether it's job opportunities, to be with family, or just to plain-and-simply get away from the snow and into the sun.

However, moving from Michigan to Florida is a big step, not just in travel, but basic living environment. Are you prepared for the 24/7 mugginess that is Florida? Because I can confidently say that I was not prepared, and I was only visiting for less than a week.
