Lansing Veteran Stand Down Is THIS FRIDAY

Freedom in America isn't free. The men and women that sign the blank check to risk their lives for our freedoms we enjoy as Americans can never be forgotten. This Friday, October 27th is the Lansing Veterans Stand Down with Volunteers of America.

Coming together to offer resources for our Veterans is important. We have Veterans in Michigan that need our help. WE can do something together. Whether you volunteer time, make donations or get the word out to Veterans in our community about this event, you are doing something for those brave men and women that need our help.

Volunteers of America invites all Veterans and their families!

Join us for a gathering of service providers and vendors offering services, information, surplus,and food to veterans.

When and where is the Lansing Veterans Stand Down?

It is taking place this Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, located at 819 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823.

Who can attend the event?

Any Veteran is welcome to attend. If you are a Veteran, or know a Veteran in need, please stop by or pass the information along to the Veteran in your life that you love and support. Homeless Veterans, I beg of you to visit the event. Immediate dependent family members are also welcome to attend.

What types of goods and services will be availbe to Veterans?

There will be plenty of services offered to Veterans including benefit counseling, health screenings/examinations, job training assistance, employment opportunities and mental health providers.

The following service will also be available for Veterans including ID services, legal assistance services, banking assistance, surplus, giveways, FREE LUNCH and more!

As civilians we think about ways we can help our brave Veterans in America. This event that means a lot to the Veterans in our community. The best thing you can do after reading this story is share the information with a beloved Veteran in your life.
