The Take Out has just narrowed down the most expensive grocery chains across the United States, and Michigan is home to one of those retail chain stores. Can you guess which one it is?

Some of the stores that made the list, which are not currently in the state of Michigan, include The Fresh Market, a boutique-style grocer known for its upscale vibe, which landed at the second most expensive spot on the list.

Harris Teeter also made the list. Teeter is a southern chain with host costs for branded goods. This store came in at number three on the list.

Gelson's made the list, which is a California-based grocery store, with premium prices. Gelson's made number four on the list.

The One Expensive Chain in Michigan

So, which store topped the list as the most expensive and has locations here in the state of Michigan?

Whole Foods Market, topped the list from The Take Out as one of the most expensive stores in the entire country. The store is known for its higher prices; however, since Amazon has acquired the retail chain, those prices have been slowly declining for customers.
