Why Champion Foods Issued The Recall
According to Champion Foods, the issue is tied to a recalled milk powder from California Dairies, Inc. The milk powder was used by a third-party manufacturer in the seasoning blend for the 5-cheese sauce. The company says there have been no reported illnesses or injuries connected to the product, and routine testing of the seasoning blend came back negative for Salmonella.
How To Find The Sell-By Date
The recall includes Motor City Pizza Co. 5 Cheese Bread Single Packs with UPC 8 70375 00511 1 and sell-by dates from February 4, 2027, through April 21, 2027.
That also includes a Two Pack version with UPC 8 70375 00609 8 and sell-by dates from February 3, 2027, through March 25, 2027.

What Salmonella Symptoms Should You Watch For?
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain. It can be especially serious for young kids, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.
What Should Customers Do Next?
If you have a box with the recalled product, do not eat it.
Champion Foods says customers can use the contact form on its website for more information before serving it to their family or putting it into the oven.
