Popular Graydon’s Crossing Sold. What Will Happen To It?

The Creston neighborhood of Grand Rapids has been home of the popular restaurant and bar, Graydon's Crossing for many, many years.

Popular for not only the killer fish and chips...

...but great burgers among other things on the menu. It has been a home away from home for many on the northeast side of town for years.

However, and I don't mean however in a bad way, things always change, and chance is coming as the current owners have decided to sell the popular watering hole.

The owner of a Grand Rapids restaurant and coffee roaster, MudPenny has bought it.  MudPenny owner, Matthew Fuller, felt this was the perfect opportunity, knowing that the owners of Graydon's Crossing were looking to sell.

MudPenny has two locations in Grand Rapids, at 570 Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW...

and 496 Ada Dr SE in Ada.

What began in 2012 as a simple coffee cart in the Waters Building downtown, the business grew to the two coffee bar/restaurants you know today as MudPenny.

No word yet if there will be a name change for Graydon's Crossing, but I would expect not. Why mess with an established and popular business. Make some changes for the better, sure, so that is what Fuller has plans for.

Fuller now plans to add a coffee bar to Graydon’s Crossing, with plans to renovate the restaurant in the coming year.

Nothing wrong with some upgrades and tweaks to make a successful establishment even better!
