Shaquille O'Neal is quite the entrepreneur and has previously been in owning and selling several national food chains. He purchased a Krispy Kreme location in Atlanta in 2016. He has owned and sold 155 Five Guys restaurants. Shaq currently owns 17 Auntie Anne's restaurants, 150 car washes, 40 health clubs, and a movie theater in Newark, and as of 2018, he became the founder and owner of Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken restaurant franchises. Now there's a guy who knows how to make some money.
Shaq has Big Chicken restaurant locations in Nevada, Arizona, California, Baltimore, Maryland, Kansas, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington, and soon 20 new locations in Michigan.
Shaquille O'Neal To Open First 2 Big Chicken Locations in Michigan
According to MLive, Shaquille O'Neal has plans for 20 new Big Chicken restaurants to open in Michigan. The first one will open in early 2024 near Flint on Linden Road in Clio. The second location will open in Highland on Highland Road in the spring. With 18 more restaurants to come to Michigan, we can only hope a location makes it to Grand Rapids. Watch out KFC and Popeyes...Shaq is coming for you.
