3 Michigan Breweries Win Big at World Beer Cup
Often called the "Olympics of Beer", the World Beer Cup went down in Las Vegas recently. Three Mitten State breweries took home some top honors!
Hosted by the Brewers Association, gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded across 110 beer styles at the 2024 World Beer Cup at a ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 24, 2024, Forbes reports.

All in all, 9,300 beers from 2,060 breweries around the world duked it out. That is a TON of competition, so it's very cool to see Michigan breweries making the top three in different categories.
Here are the Michigan breweries and what they scored.
Tilted Axis Brewing Co. in Lapeer took home silver in the American Wheat Beer category with their Lunar Fallout. There were 50 entries in this category.
Located at 303 W Nepessing St., Tilted Access brews up Ales, Lagers, Ciders, and Meads. The business also distills Vodka, Bourbon, and Gin, and is home to Lapeer Pizza Company.
Broad Leaf Brewery & Spirits in Kentwood scored silver in Experimental India Pale Ale category with their Kumi Lizard Invasion. There were 93 entries total.

Located at 2885 Lake Eastbrook Blvd SE., Broadleaf offers a variety of beers and cocktails, plus Asian-inspired and comfort food. You can also now play pickleball at Broadleaf.
Silver Harbor Brewing Co. in Saint Joseph brought home silver in the Scotch Ale category with their Wobbly Traveler. There were 53 entries.
Brewing dark beers, light beers, American beers, Belgian beers, and more, Silver Harbor also offers cocktail and a full food menu. The brewery is located at 721 Pleasant Street.
