Is It Time For Michigan To Lock Down Again?
Michigan has hit an all-time high with the number of COVID-19 cases that have been documented over the past two months, setting new daily records practically every day, with today's numbers at 6,940 positive cases of coronavirus.
While I didn't enjoy not being able to eat out or go out and do much of anything, I will say I've never been more worried about being in the general populous now more than I was back in the spring.
The cost of not shutting down could mean more cases and more death for not only Michiganders but people across the country.
In a press conference from today, Thursday, November 12th, Governor Gretchen Whitmer said that it might be time to “take some action.” She also added on that, “this is the worst week of COVID we’ve ever had."
Whitmer also spoke about a statewide mask mandate, and hoping people regardless of their political parties will help support it. She also touched upon an order of permitting less than 10 people in indoor gatherings.
