
Underwater Waterfall Discovered Off Mackinac Island
An underground waterfall - said to be over 10,000 years old - has been discovered off Mackinac Island.
The waterfall is part of an ancient river, referred to as the "Mackinac Channel"...the fall is 110 feet underneath Lake Huron and it approximately a 100 foot drop.
It's an amazing discovery: finding a river that exists UNDER the Mackinac Straits, from Lake Huron through Lake Michigan...and an underground waterfall to boot!
The river was 'discovered' in the 1930's but the waterfall is a new exciting one, and findings of civilization are popping up as well.
