The sun was out, there was not a cloud in the sky, it was the perfect afternoon for baseball.   I had a hot dog in one hand a beer in the other as we cheered on the Lugnuts.

We went to Jackson Field for David's company picnic, but it reminded me of how much fun it is to watch a ballgame in downtown Lansing.

Last year was a bust, thanks to the pandemic.  Everything was pretty much canceled. I guess that is why we had such a great time on Sunday.  It is just so nice to get back to normal and have a fun day out with other people. Yes fun, with actual human beings.

The folks at Jackson Field really keep things fun, contests, silly games, and theme days. Yesterday was Harry Potter day at the ballpark, and that was so much fun. (totally bragging, I answered all the Harry Potter quiz questions correctly)

The fun and games are not just played on the field, in the concourse you can even play a game of PLINKO, which is a family favorite for our house. My daughter could have spent all day there

The food and snacks at the ballpark are amazing.  They really have a delicious selection, but my favorite is always the good old hotdog.

For many of us, we are so busy with our daily lives that we tend to forget about some of the gems right here in Lansing. Jackson Field and the Lugnuts are most definitely one of our gems.
