How many times have you seen hundreds of ants inside your own home and have no idea where they're coming from?

My house has that same problem right now. Ants in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the living room and sometimes in the bedroom.

We've even put down ant traps all over the house to get rid of them once and for all. Well, the ant traps are not working and we are desperate for advice!

According to food.ndtv.com, here are several home remedies that will do the trick.

1. Lemons. Place lemon peels in places from where the ants enter your home. You can also mop your floors with water that has a little lemon juice added to it. Ants don't like the smell of lemons.

2. Oranges. Believe it or not, but oranges are the same as lemons. Make a paste of one cup warm water and a few orange peels. This will help in getting rid of ants.

3.Pepper. I really like this one. Ants like sugar but they really hate pepper. Now we're talking. Sprinkle pepper at the areas from where ants enter your house. By the way, cayenne pepper or black pepper are hated by ants.

4. Cinnamon. "Put cinnamon on the entrance of the house and the areas from where you think the ants can enter. This is a good method to also keep your house smelling fresh and earthy. Ants can't stand strong smell." (food.ndtv.com)

5. Peppermint. This is a strong insect repellent, which can help you get rid of ants. And again, ants can't stand the smell of a strong fragrant.
