The entire country is on edge these days when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic. Thousands and thousands of people are ready to go back to work but we all know that it's going to take time to get through this.

According to WILX, Governor Gretchen Whitmer is expected to reopen construction in Michigan by May 7.

Last week, Governor Whitmer extended the stay home extension until May 15, requiring Michigan residents to wear masks in enclosed public spaces like grocery stores.

The governor wants to remain cautious when it comes to beginning to reopen the state.

She also said we have to be really smart about what sectors we reengage, the lowest risk ones first, and the use of PPE, and all of the protocols that will mitigate that risk.

Opening up won't be a benefit to the economy if people don't have confidence they are going to be safe.
