Speaking Thursday Governor Gretchen Whitmer said that she was going to extend the stay at home order , but she is also taking more steps to hopefully stop the spread of the coronavirus.  Michigan has been a hot spot for the virus, especially the Detroit area.

The Governor is now telling large stores that they must limit the number of people in the store at one time, to more than four customers for every one thousand square feet of customer store place.  The Governor also asked smaller stores to limit the amount of foot traffic they have.

One thing you may have noticed is that many stores have tape lines on the floor so that you can self distance, keeping a distance of six feet or more between and other shoppes.

No shopping for outdoor furniture, plants or paint at some of the big box stores even flooring, those sections will be closed off and only shopping for non essential items will be allowed.

Grocery stores are also being told to limit the amount of shoppers at a time are in their store.  You are being asked to shop alone, make a list, stick to it and get in and out as soon as possible.   Most grocery stores now have one way isles to help shoppers keep a safe distance from other shoppers.

Wear a mask if you must go out, gloves are a great idea, but most importantly is to WASH YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WARM WATER.

The Governor has toughened social distancing to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
