Got Milkweed?

This is the perfect time to start thinking about the Garden, making a plan for the coming year. The Lansing State Journal has a great story today about planting for the Monarch Butterfly,  Loss of habitat is a big reason we are losing our Monarchs which means there is something you can do about it.  The planting of native plants and the restoration of prairie, like what they are doing at the Fenner Nature Center, can and has made a difference.  Organizations like Wild Ones in the Lansing area can give you more information about what grows well around here and what is native and some surprising news about what is not native to our area.  They also help out by having Native Plant Sales several times a year.  Have you planted milkweed?
