Pop singer Lesley Gore passed away Monday (Feb. 16) at the age of 68, thanks to lung cancer - and she didn't even smoke.

She gave us a huge handful of hits: "It's My Party," "Judy's Turn To Cry," "Sunshine Lollipops & Rainbows," "You Don't Own Me," "Maybe I Know," "She's A Fool," My Town, My Guy & Me," "California Nights," "Hey Now," "I Don't Wanna Be A Loser" and others.

She released 37 singles from 1963-1975, eighteen of which made the Hot 100 singles chart in her heyday: 1963-1967.

Her hit "You Don't Own Me" pre-dated Women's Lib.

Lesley was also an accomplished songwriter and even won a grammy for her work on the 1980 film "Fame."

For anyone with even the slightest appreciation & knowledge of Rock & Roll, Lesley will be missed.
