Potterville's Gizzard City Marks 65 Year Anniversary

Most of us know about Joe's Gizzard City in Potterville...home of the tenderest, bestest chickenest gizzards in the country...maybe even the world. This year marks their SIXTY-FIFTH anniversary...

I've had these gizzards for many years and they ARE tasty. There are some disbelievers, naysayers and skeptics who wince when you suggest gizzards for lunch or dinner...but those people probably haven't tried these gizzards; they just might change their minds if they do.

As already mentioned, the Bristol family have owned this establishment for sixty-five years, beginning in 1960...so that says a mouthful. Many people keep going back for these gizzards and there's plenty of gizzard souvenirs to pick up...I myself have a Gizzard City t-shirt!

So...WHAT EXACTLY IS A GIZZARD?
According to Dictionary.com, the gizzard is "a thick-walled, muscular pouch in the lower stomach of many birds and reptiles that grinds food, often with the aid of ingested stones or grit". This description won't bother people who love these gizzards; however, if there's a certain person you're attempting to talk into trying gizzards, well...don't describe what a gizzard is.

Get to Gizzard City and scarf up a basket of deep-fried gizzards; keep in mind, there are plenty of other menu options for the tender-hearted. Grab some souvenirs as well!

...and once you're there, take a few minutes to drive around Potterville. It's a nice place to visit.
