The long time Gizzard festival has been canceled for 2017.  Organizers aren't sure if it will continue in 2018.

The Gizzard Festival has been a summer tradition every June for nearly two decades in the small town of Potterville.  The event just celebrated its 17th year.

Joe Bristol, the owner of Joe's Gizzard City, the festival's long time organizer and the guy behind the gizzards, said next year's Gizzard Festival has already been canceled.

The news comes on the heels of dwindling festival attendance, a loss in revenue from the event and what Bristol said were complaints from residents about Main Street being closed during the festival.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
