Today, August 28 is National Ghostbusters Day in honor of the 30th anniversary of the original film in the series, which debuted on June 8, 1984.

To mark the occasion, a remastered version of Ghostbusters will be released in more than 700 theaters in North America for a limited run, beginning Friday.

Remember the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man, one of the many characters in the original film of the series.

Ghostbusters starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis.  Also in the movie, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson and several others.

How can we forget about the great theme song recorded by Ray Parker Jr.  "Ghostbusters!"

Look for Ghostbusters in theaters Friday, along with a 30th anniversary edition Blu-ray out on September 16.
