ABANDONED MICHIGAN: Four Bears Water Park, Utica
The Four Bears Water Park was located in Utica, Shelby Township. It was a place that has fond memories for many kids who grew up in the 80's & 90's; water slides, bumper cars, go-karts, swimming, paddle boats, arcade games, food, picnicking, batting cages and mini-golf.
Four Bears was only open for 21 years; from 1983 - 2004. All the amusements and park attractions were demolished or removed except the main building, which still stands. Nowadays it's become block-after-block of condominiums.
***Remember, if you visit, always get permission to enter any abandoned structure to avoid trespassing charges.***
