Finding a Quality Preschool for Your Child

Education researchers are finding that children aged 3 to 5 who attend preschool increase their chances for success in the classroom and beyond.  However, parents can't put their kids in just any preschool.

Here are a few recommendations from Child Trends.

1.  Watch the teacher with his or her students.  They should be affectionate and responsive, greeting children by name and knowing what each individual child needs.

2.  Watch how the teacher handles conflict, like a fight over toys, and teaches children to negotiate and share.
