COVID-19 can be overwhelming and can cause strong emotions.

According to cdc.gov, here are some things you can do to support yourself:

1. Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories and social media. Hearing about the pandemic over and over can be upsetting.

2. Take care of your body. Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. Try to eat well balanced meals, exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and avoid alcohol.

3. Make time to unwind. Try to do some other activities you enjoy. I think this is really important when it comes down to coping. Try to have fun.

4. Call your healthcare provider if stress gets in the way of your daily activities for several days in a row.

Personally speaking, I try really hard to use a couple of these ideas to help with stress and anxiety. And they do help.
