Farmers markets around the region are getting ready for another summer of homegrown produce and homemade goods.  Most of them have already started their markets for the season.

Dru Montri, executive director of the Michigan Farmers Market Association has several tips for shopping at a farmers market.

Here's one of Dru's tips:  Do a walk through to see what is in season, look at the different products that are available.  This is an opportunity to compare prices and see what best fits into your budget.

Dru also says to keep in mind that when produce is in season, it can be really competitively priced.
